With a milk processing capacity of 200,000 litres per day, Midland’s dairy enterprise is geared up for success

Outfitted with the latest available equipment and ultramodern technology, Midland Group’s latest exciting venture, Pearl Dairy, will produce various milk products including liquid milk, cream, butter, butter oil, ghee, cheese and skimmed milk powder, among others.

 

Located in Mbarara, approximately 200 km from Uganda’s capital Kampala, the plant will cover an area of 15 acres (six hectares). The project is estimated to cost approximately 15 million US dollars, and will result in the direct employment of roughly 250 people and the indirect creation of a further 10,000 jobs.

The building of the plant is scheduled to begin during the second quarter of 2011. Follow our news page for updates on this promising development.
